Video & Maps
Use el-video for video embeds (URL in the name or set in Elementor) and el-google-maps for map placeholders with the address in the name.
el-video — Video widget
A video element is a Figma frame that becomes an Elementor Video widget. Figma doesn’t host video; the frame acts as a placeholder for size and position. The video URL can be included in the layer name or set after import in Elementor.
Naming: el-video:name — e.g. el-video:hero, el-video:testimonial. You can optionally include a URL in the name if your workflow supports it; otherwise set the link in Elementor’s Video widget (YouTube, Vimeo, or self-hosted).
How to create in Figma
Create a Frame and name it el-video:your-name. Set the frame size to the desired aspect ratio (e.g. 16:9). You can add a placeholder rectangle or thumbnail image inside for design reference; Figmentor uses the frame as the video container dimensions in Elementor.
What carries over
| Figma | Elementor |
|---|---|
| Frame size / aspect ratio | Video widget dimensions |
| Optional URL in name | Video source (if supported) |
After import, set the video URL in Elementor (YouTube, Vimeo, or direct file link) and adjust autoplay, controls, and other options as needed.
el-google-maps — Google Maps widget
A map element is a Figma frame that becomes an Elementor Google Maps widget. The frame is a placeholder; the address (or location data) can be included in the layer name so Figmentor can prefill the map in Elementor.
Naming: el-google-maps:name or el-google-maps:address — e.g. el-google-maps:location, el-google-maps:123 Main St, City. Use the part after the colon as the address or a short key; you can refine the exact address in Elementor after import.
How to create in Figma
Create a Frame and name it el-google-maps:your-address-or-name. Set the frame size to the desired map height/width (e.g. 400×300). A placeholder shape or screenshot of a map can sit inside for layout; Figmentor uses the name and dimensions to create the map widget.
What carries over
| Figma | Elementor |
|---|---|
| Frame size | Map embed dimensions |
| Name (address or label) | Map address / location (if supported) |
In Elementor, confirm the address, zoom level, and map type (roadmap, satellite, etc.) as needed.
